HR, from the chair.

I'm Ben. I run HR for a living. I write about it for the people who do too.

Daily takes on the work, the leaders, the tech, and the humans behind all of it. Built by someone still in the seat, not someone who used to sit in one.

The short story

I wear two hats and both of them fit.

By day, I'm a VP of HR at a global RPO firm. I lead the full HR function across a workforce that spans industries, company sizes, and every HR problem you can name. I own the hiring plan, the retention numbers, the escalations, and the stuff that doesn't make the slide deck. I'm still in the chair.

By night (and most mornings, and a few lunches), I write on LinkedIn for HR practitioners. Every day. I started in May of 2025. In under a year, I went from zero to nearly 30,000 followers. Not because I'm chasing a creator career, but because I think the field deserves a voice that's actually living it. That audience is HR people who run HR, hire HR, and buy HR tech. I didn't build it by accident and I didn't build it slow.

The two hats feed each other. The work makes the writing sharper. The writing makes the work smarter. And the combination is the thing HR tech companies actually want when they come looking for an advisor.

The work

Daily writing for HR practitioners.

I post every day on LinkedIn. The best of it lives here too. Real talk from the chair, leadership takes that didn't come from a bookshelf, and the occasional rant about tools that waste your time.

One more thing
"The best HR advice doesn't come from people who study work. It comes from people who do the work. That's the bar. That's the whole thing."
